These bows are not made by Disney, the maps are acquired at the theme parks and then handcrafted into hair bows and bow ties.
The Magic Kingdom version uses maps dated after June 2014. All other WDW maps are dated before May 2013.
Disneyland and DCA Maps are dated before 2017.

How cute is this bow?! I absolutely adore the use of the maps and the quality is amazing–the maps are laminated so I have no fear of damaging it while wearing it.
On our most recent trip to WDW we had a great character meet & greet with Peter Pan who was so excited to see my “treasure map” bow 🙂

I have the Disneyland map version of this bow, and it’s impossible to wear it without being showered with compliments left and right! No matter where I go (school, Disneyland, the grocery store…) everyone wants to know where I got this bow. It doesn’t look cheap at all (which I worried since it IS made of paper, after all) because of the lamination and the design of the bow. It’s incredibly well-made and has stood the test of time, as I’ve had it for well over two years now!

I bought my Park Maps bow nearly three years ago (early 2012) and it has held up so well. As a former cast member I got the center customized to my work area and it brings me such joy to wear it. It is a great conversation starter and a nice way of accessorizing in the parks.
The bow itself is very sturdy, with the lamination helping to stiffen the bow and prevent wear. I am very careful in storing or traveling with the bow by keeping it in a small box. I have worn it in very light rain sprinkles and it has held up very well, but I have not taken the chance of wearing it on a water ride or in a Florida rainstorm. I do wear it on many rides without fear of it coming off thanks to the strong bond with the french barrette clip, but take it off for safety on rollercoasters.
I have very thick hair and the french barrette has also held up very well, holding a surprising amount of hair and feeling very secure. I also like the variety of styles I can wear the bow in such as putting at the end of braids, half updo, base of a french twist, and side clip.

I’ve had the Magic Kingdom version of this bow for a few years now. Thanks to the lamination, it’s held up very well over time with no issues. I always get questions and compliments on this bow when I wear it to the park. It’s one of my favorites out of my Magical Ribbons collection.

I currently own three of these bows- two as a gift and one that I recently bought for myself (all different parks). These are seriously the best. Creative, super sturdy, and can go with any of my Disney shirts (of which there are many). This is probably an ideal starter bow for anyone looking to start their collection.

I bought this bow before MK introduced the new Fantasyland maps, and immediately loved it. I have had some issues with the French barrette staying together, but overall have been very pleased with this one. Always a great conversation starter!

I own the Animal Kingdom and Magic Kingdom versions of this bow. They’re amazing and I get so many compliments when I wear them on my ears. The only thing to be careful of is the sharp edges. I double wrap mine in fold top baggies so that it doesn’t get bent or scratch any of my other bows.
